Municipal/State/Federal

Prism Energy Services has acquired a depth and breadth of experience working with municipalities since our company was founded in 1998, offering support, guidance, and direction on energy conservation, from the initial meeting through the construction and post-inspection project phases.

Since 2010, we have had an intensive focus on working with the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources and the Green Communities Designation and Grant Program. We have worked with over 30 towns and cities, performing comprehensive interior and exterior lighting and mechanical projects, from K-12 schools, wastewater treatment plants, public libraries, police and fire stations, and other municipal buildings.

Expertise and Experience

We understand the municipal process that the cities and towns are required to follow, including, budgets, public bidding, prevailing wage, sensitivity to the local constituents, and more. We help city and town administrators navigate the utility incentive programs and the Department of Energy Resources (DOER) program requirements to qualify for the maximum grant funding. In our experience, many towns do not have sufficient resources to design and engineer these projects, so we lend our support and expertise to ensure their success. Below are a list of cities and towns where we have worked over the years.
