Prism Energy Services Charity Drive 2015 – Part 2

From January through March, Prism Energy Services has been engaged in a canned food drive for local food pantries across Massachusetts. In the first act of charitable giving for 2015, Prism donated a total of 113 cans and non-perishable foods to the Greater Boston Food Bank.

Over the course of February, our staff collected and donated 130 cans and non-perishable goods to the Cambridge Senior Center Food Pantry. We exceeded last month’s total by 17 cans. We’re already into March, and we’ve collected a total of 52 cans. The turnouts have far exceeded our expectations, and we’re amazed at the level of involvement of all of our employees. Our ultimate goal is to reach 500 cans before the end of March. It’s a difficult goal, but we set our standards high. We feel strongly that we can at least breach the 400 mark. No matter what we end up with at the end of March, we’re sure to have a bountiful surprise for the Worcester Salvation Army.

We plan to keep engaging in different charities and events all year. After March, we are looking to organize a Prism walk/run charity, and in July, we aim to organize a coat drive. Stay tuned for more pictures and event photos.

Check out our neatly stacked collection can tower, just before dropping them off in Cambridge. We’re calling the little centerpiece in the middle the leaning tower of “bean-za.”
